Scout Troops for 2009-2010
Levels:
Daisy Girl
Scouts --- Kindergarten
At this
level, the girls usually meet about once a month. The girls have a chance to gather together, develop new
friendships, enjoy arts and crafts, and sing songs.
Brownie Girl Scouts
-- Grades 1, 2 and 3
At this
level, the girls meet once or twice a month. The girls gather together, build and develop stronger
friendships, begin to develop
individual skills, sell Girl Scout Cookies, go on field trips, and do community
service projects. In addition, they also learn about eating healthy, and good
manners.
Junior Girl Scouts
-- Grades, 4, 5, and 6
At this
level, the girls meet once or twice a month. As they gather together, they build on friendships, and grow
with individual and group
activity. They make decisions,
build on self-esteem, sell Girl Scout Cookies, and do community service
projects. They also go on field
trips.

Our
Troops usually start in the Fall and go until the end of May. At that time, we have an
end-of-the-year ceremony for the girls to honor their achievements throughout
the year.
There
are also Girl Scout Neighborhood Events that the girls are invited to attend
throughout the school year. Some
of these events in the past have included Daddy/Daughter Dances, Family
Swimming Events, Bowling Events, Sing-a-long Events, and Skating Events. The
girls are also allowed to attend camps offered by the Girls Scouts of Metro
Detroit.
