A Typical Day:  

Free choice: Small motor and perception skills developed through manipulative activities

Carpet time: Listening and language skills developed through storytelling, fingerplays, and show-and-tell

Lessons: Religion, emergent literacy and math

Art: Small motor skills developed through coloring, cutting, gluing and painting

Bathroom break and snack

Centers: Social skills developed, as well as learning through play

Music: Singing, instruments, and creative movement throughout the day

Dismissal for half-day students and recess for full-day students
